If you tuned in to episode 141, I shared a very personal & vulnerable story about a time I didn’t belong. A huge reason why I felt compelled to share that was because of the sense of belonging that comes with my new membership, the Above The Standard Collective.
Another urge you get inside the membership is to stop simply showing up for life & settling to instead start living intentionally and create magic in the day to day. If you were radically honest with yourself, how often are you just showing up in life and not existing to your fullest potential? You get to change that narrative.
This episode is about:
• How I discovered what my legacy was
• My constant aim hasbeen to help people live above the standard
• Creating a space where you don’t simply exist, rather get to become
• How I live intentionally everyday & create magic in the mundane
• Becoming her & existing to my fullest and greatest potential
Hello, sweet friend. Welcome back to the Shamelessly Ambitious Podcast. This is episode 143, and today, we’re taking a trip down memory lane. I want to share the journey that led me from where I was to where I am today && to the incredible membership I’ve recently renovated. I’m beyond excited to reveal this to you because it’s been years in the making.
But, this is more than just a renovation ⎯ it’s a complete transformation.
For me, business is about creating something that exceeds who you are. It’s about building a legacy that continues to grow, inspire, and magnetize long after you’re gone. This has always been my main mission (that and helping people live above the standard lives) and it’s been quite the journey to get here.
If you’ve followed my story, you know it’s been a rollercoaster of successes and setbacks. I’ve achieved so much, from owning a private practice and teaching worldwide to earning over a million dollars and holding multiple degrees. Yet, I’ve also faced significant challenges. I’ve filed for bankruptcy, sold everything I owned multiple times to live nomadically, and experienced personal losses, including multiple miscarriages and legal battles. These experiences have shaped me, teaching me empathy, resilience, and the importance of psychological flexibility.
My journey started as a therapist, then evolved into life coaching, and eventually business coaching. Through all of these roles, one thing remained constant: my dedication to helping people live an extraordinary, above the standard life.
This mission has culminated in the renovation of the Above the Standard Collective.
The Above the Standard Collective is more than a membership; it’s a movement. It’s about living above the standard in every aspect of life — whether in health, relationships, or business. It’s about making intentional choices and taking risks, a concept I call the “risk and repeat effect.” This approach has been the cornerstone of my success and the foundation of this community.
Inside the collective, you’ll find a space designed for personal and professional growth. We have weekly musings, where I share insights and answer member questions on everything from relationships to business strategies and even sex. If ya didn’t know, I’m also a sex therapist. We also offer monthly healing intensives, live coaching sessions focused on specific themes, and fireside chats with inspiring guests who share their journeys and lessons learned.
One of the core principles of the collective is self-coaching.
I believe in empowering you to guide yourself through life’s challenges. This isn’t about creating dependency; it’s about fostering independence and self-reliance.
To give you a taste of what we do, let me share an exercise I use to shift my perspective on tough days. Ask yourself two questions: “What is the absolute best possibility of what could happen?” and “Who do I get to be to align myself with that possibility?” These questions help transform mundane moments into magical experiences by focusing on the best outcomes and aligning your actions with those possibilities.
For example, when I’m feeling overwhelmed by daily chores and parenting duties, I imagine the best possible outcomes: meaningful conversations with my kids, physical vitality, and serendipitous connections at the park. Then, I align my actions with those outcomes, turning a regular day into something extraordinary.
The Above the Standard Collective is for women who are ready to stop being victims of their circumstances and start living intentionally. It’s for those who want to be unapologetically ambitious AF in every aspect of their lives, from their careers to their personal relationships.
If you’re ready to join a community where you can reinvent yourself, find belonging, and create the life you truly want, then the Above the Standard Collective is for you. It’s a space where you can be supported daily, connect with like-minded women, and receive the guidance you need to thrive.
It’s a space where you don’t simply exist, you belong.
Thank you for being here and for joining me on this journey. I’m excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to see you inside the collective.
Let’s live above the standard, together.
xoxo, Ash
