Hello, my friend, and welcome back. This space has always been a reflection of my heart, a place where I share my thoughts, experiences, and the journey I’m on. Today, I want to talk about something deeply personal and pivotal—a decision I’ve made that’s creating more space in my life, my business, and my spirit.
For a while now, I’ve felt this pull, a quiet but persistent nudge telling me it was time to create more spaciousness in my life. As someone who thrives on intentionality, I’ve always valued time flexibility and freedom. Yet, in the midst of my nomadic lifestyle and all the beautiful chaos it brings, I found myself slipping back into old patterns—filling every nook and cranny of my time with work.
Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do. I’m wildly passionate about my business, my community, and the impact I strive to make. But just because I could fill my time with work doesn’t mean I should. It’s a conscious commitment to say no, to step back, and to allow space for the life I truly want to live—a life filled with adventure, homeschooling my kids, and creating memories.
Recognizing the Need for Change
As the new year rolled in, I started feeling a bit stretched, catching myself saying, “I just need more time.” That phrase triggered something in me because I’ve always been so mindful of the words I choose. Words shape our beliefs, and beliefs influence our behaviors, which ultimately dictate our results.
I realized that if I was craving more time, it wasn’t about cramming more into my days but about making intentional changes. I needed to assess where I could create more space without sacrificing what truly matters. As much as I adore this podcast, it became clear that it was one of the areas where I could step back.
This decision wasn’t easy. I love connecting with you through the podcast, but the need for space, for focusing on other areas of my business, and for honoring the lifestyle I’ve chosen, was stronger. So, here we are, at the last episode for now. But it’s not goodbye—just a pause to pour my energy into something new that I’ve been building, something that aligns with where I am right now.
Reclaiming My Business and Time
One of the big changes I made recently was taking back control of my content. I had outsourced a lot, which made sense at the time, but I started to miss the direct connection with my community—the joy I get from writing my emails and creating content. So, I reclaimed that space. It’s funny, isn’t it? Wanting more time but also wanting to do more of what I love. It’s about balance and being intentional about where I invest my time.
What am I investing my time in now? Well, I’m focusing on something that has been on my heart for a while—a mastermind that I’ve been carefully crafting. This is where I’m meant to be right now, nurturing my community and attracting the right people who need what I have to offer. It’s a conscious choice to dedicate my energy to something that feels aligned and purposeful.
The True Cost of Success
As I reflect on the past year, I see so clearly how easy it is to fall back into the trap of overworking, even when you’ve escaped it before. Last year, after my sabbatical, I found myself in the same cycle—filling the time I had with more work, chasing success, and ultimately, burning out. I had built a massive business with a massive team, but it wasn’t sustainable. It wasn’t bringing me the joy I sought.
I was doing all the “right” things—hiring mentors, expanding platforms, and pushing for perfection. But it wasn’t working for me. It wasn’t aligned with my values of spaciousness and intentionality. It was costing me my wellness, my joy, and my sense of purpose.
So, I made a radical decision. I let go of my team, simplified my business, and focused only on what truly mattered—my clients and my own well-being. Those four months of stepping back were some of the most eye-opening of my life. I realized that all the extra “stuff” wasn’t necessary. Success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your happiness.
Moving Forward with Intention
Now, as I move forward, I’m committed to remembering the lessons I’ve learned. I’ve slowed down, taken back control of my content, and realigned my business with what truly matters. It’s about doing less, but with more intention. It’s about creating space for what I love—both in my business and in my life.
I see so many entrepreneurs chasing freedom and flexibility, only to find themselves more burnt out than ever. But there is a better way. Success doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your wellness. It’s possible to have both—a thriving business and a life filled with joy and spaciousness.
So, as I take this break from the podcast, I want to leave you with this thought: What would your life look like if you created more space? If you let go of what isn’t serving you and focused on what truly matters? It’s a question I’ve asked myself many times, and the answers have led me to a life that feels more aligned, more joyful, and more sustainable.
Thank you for being here, for listening, and for being a part of this journey with me. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with spaciousness, intention, and the freedom to live the life I’ve always dreamed of.
Until next time, take care of yourself, embrace the spaciousness, and live shamelessly ambitious.
xx, Ash
